Attractions to visit

The city is situated on the edge of Swansea bay, a five-mile sweep of sands from the Marina to Mumbles. Just a few miles further is the Gower peninsula, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, where there are beaches and activities for all tastes, from sailing, surfing and windsurfing to fishing, exploring rock pools or just lazing on the beach.

In addition to the beautiful beaches there are many local places of interest to visit and a wide variety of leisure activities to take part in. Amongst these are St Helens rugby and cricket ground, the Grand Theatre, Dylan Thomas centre and Theatre, the Glyn Vivian art gallery, Swansea Museum and Waterfront Museum, Mumbles castle, Wales National Pool, Liberty Stadium, multi screen cinema and ten pin bowling complex, nighclubs, and many places to eat and drink.

The birthplace of the famous poet Dylan Thomas is a short walk from the hotel as are three beautiful parks; Cwmdonkin, Brynmill and Singleton, which between them have tennis courts, bowling greens and children's play area.

The hotel is convenient for Singleton and Morriston hospitals and the University of Swansea.
